  • Early Dismissal Procedures for GCMS

Send a handwritten note with your child in the morning.  Have your child take the note to the main office and give it to one of the secretaries.  The secretary will then write your child a pass to leave class at the appropriate time.

You are also welcome to send an email to Mrs. Ferguson or Mrs. Criss.  Sonya.ferguson@gcasdk12.org      Renee.criss@gcasdk12.org

When it is time for the student's early dismissal, they will show the pass to their classroom teacher who will initial it.  The student will then bring the pass to the office and sign-out. They may exit the building through the front doors by the main office when they see their ride pull up.

As long as the student has a note in the morning, the person picking up the student has no need to enter the building.

If you were unable to send a note with your child in the morning regarding an early dismissal, we will ask that the parent/guardian enter the building to fill out the Unscheduled Early Dismissal form.  At that point the student will be called out of class and sent to the office to sing-out.

If at any time you have any questions regarding early dismissal procedures for the Middle School, please call the office.  724-458-8040
