  • School Health Services

The School Health Services Department consists of two certified school nurses, and two Licensend Practial Nurses (LPN). Additionally there are two LPN's assigned to specific classrooms for medical necessity.

The nurses provide comprehensive care and services for our students.  They create and interpret health care plans for students with special health care needs. They provide and document assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation.

In addition to mandated screenings, first aid and nursing services as outlined by state guidelines, the certified school nurses are members of the Student Assistance Team (SAP), the Safey Committe,  and attend IEP and 504 team meetings.  The nurses are responsible for inservicing the staff on health-related topics.

If you have questions or feel you could use the assistance of a school nurse please contact one of them.
