Ms. Vechnak

Hi!  My name is Debby Vechnak and I am a Special Education Teacher at Hillview Elementary School working in the Life Skills Program with the most wonderful and amazing students in the District.  The students call me "Miss V."  I have worked in the Grove City District since the fall of 1991 where I have taught an elementary Learning Support Program, Kindergarten and First Grade, in addition to the Life Skills class.  Prior to coming to Grove City, I was an elementary Learning Support teacher in the Sharon School District and a Preschool Teacher for the ARC of Mercer County.  Our classroom is a busy place with students from second grade - seventh grade, and we have fun helping each other learn to read, express ourselves in writing and develop math skills.  The staff working in my classroom and I strive to help the students develop self confidence as they learn and grow.  We do not accept an "I can't" attitude, and our students represent this as they see that they can learn and succeed.  They are proud of themselves, and we are proud of them.  We plan to use this webpage to share some of the special activities in our classroom in the months ahead.  Stop in from time to time to see what we are doing!
