Closure Communications:Hello GCMS Families!
As you know, tomorrow, May 29 is our final day of this one of a kind school year. A few housekeeping items:
*Although tomorrow is the last day of school, we have accounted for internet issues and students needing a bit more time by permitting students to work on remote learning throught Friday, June 5 at 3:00 PM if needed. Final report cards should be posted on Tyler on Friday, June 12. We will be in contact very soon regarding a "dropoff" event where we will ask for you to bring in any chromebooks, textbooks or library books that need to be returned to the school.
More than anything today, I wanted to say thank you to all of you! These last 10 weeks have provided immense challenges for principals, teachers, students, and of course parents as well. It is not lost on me how difficult remote learning was for many student and how taxing the entire process has been on families. I appreciate any and all of the emails or feedback that I have received - more than anything, I appreciate the patience, understanding and support that all of you have provided to your children - and the school. At GCMS we are so grateful to work with such amazing students and families and to serve this special community!
We have embraced connecting remotely, but are yearning to spend time and work (in person) with our kiddos again. We are hopeful for the opportunities for the start of next school year. Please stay tuned throughout the summer as the District will be diligent in providing updates for the 2020-2021 school year.
Than you all, once again. We are wishing you all a safe, relaxing, and restful summer!

Welcome to Grove City Area Middle School! It is the mission of the Grove City Area School District to “equip all our students for their futures.” In the crucial middle school years, we take that responsibility very seriously. By offering a wide variety of courses and opportunities for intervention and acceleration, we believe that we can provide students with a strong educational foundation to build upon. In addition, we encourage students to take in the full “middle school experience.” We provide many opportunities for students to be involved through athletics, organizations, academic teams and clubs. If I can assist in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me at the middle school office at (724) 458-8040.
