    The Grove City Area School Board of Directors is committed to the vision, compelling purpose, moral imperative and the mission of “Equipping all learners for successful futures.”

    Overview – The Grove City Area School Board of Directors is comprised of nine members who have been elected for a four year term to create, evaluate and vote on policies that are needed to operate the school district. The school board hires the superintendent and evaluates job performance to ensure the needs of the district are met. The administrative team, led by the superintendent and principals, manage the day to day operation of the district. Open communication between the school district and the community are encouraged.

    The Grove City Area School Board of Directors holds two public meetings per month. The first Monday of the month (unless otherwise noted) is a work session. This session will often have an educational focus, and will provide time for presentations, discussions, and public input. The board functions as a committee of the whole and the meeting is facilitated by the superintendent.

    On the second Monday of the month (unless otherwise noted) is a business meeting. In this meeting, board members vote on matters such as monthly bills, policy, professional development, text books, safety and crisis management issues and personnel. This meeting is facilitated by the board president and the business manager. Public input is welcomed and encouraged.
